Eligible Bowls for National Championship Play

Individuals who compete in a National Championship event or selection event, such as the World Junior Cup Selection or Canadian Indoor must use bowls that have a visible legible date stamp and a properly affixed provincial decal – the year of the stamp does not apply.

Bowls marked "Coaching" or Bowls with 'Disks/Plugs' (whichever term is used in your area) are not allowed for play in national championship events or selection events such as the World Junior Cup Selection or Canadian Indoor irrespective of the date stamp on the bowls.

Players who win the World Junior Cup Selection (Under 25 Qualifier), Canadian Indoor Championships, or the singles at the Canadian National Championships earn the opportunity to represent Canada internationally – when these players, and those invited to attend a national team training camp or players who compete internationally must ensure their bowls comply with Law 9 of the Laws of the Sport of Bowls Crystal Mark Edition 2007.
