2018 Canadian Indoor Singles Championships

Vancouver - British Columbia| October 22, 2018

The 2018 Canadian Indoor Singles Championships will be kicking off October 23 in Vancouver, British Columbia at the Pacific Indoor Lawn Bowling Club. The World Cup qualifier will run from October 23, 2018 until October 27, 2018. The Indoor Singles will be the final major championship event of the season.

This year’s Indoor Singles Championship will see the return of 2017 men’s champion, Hirendra Bhartu (BC), as well as 2017 runner up, Emma Boyd (BC). Bhartu will be looking to go for the three-peat, but standing in his way will be John Bjornson from Manitoba. Bhartu and Bjornson have faced each other in the finals in both 2016 and 2017. Boyd will be up against a strong women’s field, including BC’s Josephine Lee (2017 and 2018 women’s fours gold medal) and AB’s Claire Day (2018 women’s pairs silver medal and 2017 Indoor Singles bronze medal).
