Are you a former national team member who has thought about coaching, but wasn’t sure about how to get started? This program is designed for you! The National Team Alumni Coaching Apprentice Program aims to fill the gap between competing at the international level and coaching.
Designed to help former national team members make the transition to the realm of coaching, this program will provide support and mentoring to help accepted candidates achieve their NCCP coaching certifications for Bowls Competition Coach or Bowls Performance Coach.
Prior coaching experience is an asset but not necessarily required. However, the desire to assist others in achieving their goal to compete at the highest levels is essential.
Apprentice coaches in this program will receive up to $1,500 of support to put towards NCCP course costs. Additionally, apprentice coaches will be linked to the Regional Coaching Network and have the opportunity to participate in coaching development opportunities such as working with national coaches Terry Scott and Darryl Fitzgerald.
Interested candidates can apply in writing directly to High Performance Committee Chairperson Ryan Stadnyk. Applications should include the following information:
Applications are due by November 14th, 2020.
