Call for Applications: BCB’s Chief Executive Officer

As seen in a previous press release (read more here), there are changes happening within Bowls Canada Boulingrin (BCB). BCB is currently hiring for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position. 

The CEO is accountable to the Board of Directors for executing the organization’s mission, strategy and business plan. They strive to advance the mission of Bowls Canada and balance the passion of volunteers with the complex business decisions required to reach members across Canada. As a liaison and advocate to various levels of government, provincial partners and other key stakeholders the CEO makes every effort to further the goals of Bowls Canada.

The ideal candidate for this position would have experience with working and collaborating with a Board of Directors, small business leadership experience and/or experience working in the sport or non-profit sectors, excellent communication and leadership skills, experience with human resources and managing teams, and strong administrative, financial, and strategic planning skills. The ideal candidate should hold a related advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s in Sport Administration, etc.) and 5 or more years of experience in a senior management position. Bilingualism (in Canada’s official languages) is considered an asset.
