Scott and Anderson won the Canadian Singles Championship in August 2013 and gaining the right to represent Canada at this prestigious event.  The pair arrived in New Zealand early to get some practice in before the competition.  Anderson is coming off the World Juniors as he coached Grant Wilkie and Stirling Wood in Australia earlier this month.  Scott made the trip from Saskatoon and is looking to make Canada proud, “this is my first time playing on this type of surface but I have had some solid practices under my belt and am looking forward to competition”.

There will be tough competition throughout the week of bowls for both Scott and Anderson, but they are prepared to play their hardest.  With over a year having passed since they won the Canadian Championships, they are ready to start playing and show the world that Canada can compete; “it has been a long year of planning and I am ready to play” said Scott, “I am looking forward to this exciting and hopefully successful tournament for both Dave and myself”.
