Registration Launched for 2017 National Bowls Day

Ottawa, ON. | May 3rd, 2017

Bowls Canada Boulingrin (BCB) is pleased to announce the launch of the National Bowls Day webpage. This is a dedicated section on the Bowls Canada Boulingrin website where clubs can register their National Bowls Day events, see what lawn bowling related activities are happening in their community, and access information on the ParticipACTION 150 Play List.

BCB invites all clubs across Canada to register their National Bowls Day event through the online registration form. National Bowls Day is a country wide celebration of lawn bowls. By registering events with BCB, clubs are entered into a draw to win fabulous prizes. Registrants will also receive numerous items, such as BCB branded flyers to advertise their event, a bowls specific media kit, fun info-graphics to post at their club and much more (while supplies last)! For more details on upcoming contests and prizes for National Bowls Day, check out the Bowls Canada Boulingrin Facebook page or the events section of the webpage.

“We are very excited to launch this webpage for bowls clubs across Canada”, said BCB Executive Director Anna Mees. “Not only does it provide all the information about National Bowls Day in one spot, but it also creates a space for future National Bowls Day celebrations. We are looking forward to generating a buzz across the country on June 3rd as Canadians check off activity #50 from their ParticipACTION 150 Play List!”

About the ParticipACTION 150 Play List
To celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, ParticipACTION has created the ParticipACTION 150 Play List – the ultimate list of all the physical activities that make us Canadian. Throughout 2017 every Canadian, in all communities, schools and workplaces from coast to coast to coast, will be challenged to complete as many physical activities on the list as possible, track their efforts online and earn rewards along the way. The ParticipACTION 150 Play List is a collaborative effort supported by the Government of Canada, premier corporate partners Manulife, Chevrolet and Shaw, the Government of B.C. and national media partner Corus.
