Virtual Bowls Day Celebration Announced for 2021

Ottawa (ON) | February 5, 2021

Bowls Canada Boulingrin is pleased to announce that the official date for this year’s National Bowls Day is Saturday, June 5, 2021. While many bowls clubs have been able to open their doors by following varying phases of return to play protocols, the pandemic continues to be unpredictable and the restrictions differ across the country. For this reason, our sixth annual National Bowls Day will be held virtually following the successful virtual celebration in 2020.

The virtual festivities will be held on our social media platforms, primarily the Bowls Canada Boulingrin Facebook page. Last June we held contests and other fun activities that bowlers could participate in from home, and BCB gave away some great prizes to the winners.

“Our planning is already underway for the 2021 event and we look forward to getting the community involved despite the ever-changing pandemic restrictions,” said Communications and Safe Sport Coordinator Casey Donnelly. “We were hoping for a return to in-person events this year, but the virtual celebration was well-received in 2020 and we will continue to make the best of our situation”.

We hope bowlers are ready to spread some positivity and participate in our Bowls Day 2021 events. Stay tuned!
