Winnipeg Set to Host 2015 Canadian Open Singles Championships

Ottawa, Ontario | September 4, 2015

The city of Winnipeg, Manitoba is about to open its doors to the 2015 Canadian Open Singles Championship.  Singles bowlers from across the country will begin play on Sunday, September 6th and play through the medal rounds on Thursday, September 11th.  

Athletes from coast to coast will play for the right to represent Canada at the 2016 World Champion of Champions Tournament to be hosted in Queensland, Australia.
The championship is truly being hosted by the entire city of Winnipeg with play taking place at three clubs across town; the Norwood lawn Bowling Club, the St. John’s Lawn Bowling Club and the Tuxedo Lawn Bowling Club.

The round robin will take place on Sunday through Tuesday across all three clubs.  The women will be playing at the Tuxedo LBC on Sunday, the St. John’s LBC on Monday and Norwood LBC on Tuesday morning, while the men are divided during the round robin.  The men’s ‘Pool A’ will be playing at the Norwood LBC on Sunday, the Tuxedo LBC on Monday and the St. John’s LBC Tuesday and ‘Pool B’ will be playing at the St. John’s LBC on Sunday, the Norwood LBC on Monday and the Tuxedo LBC on Tuesday.
