BOWLS CANADA ANNOUNCES HOSTS FOR TWO 2027 CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Bowls Canada Boulingrin (BCB) is pleased to announce the host clubs for two of its 2027 Canadian Championships, with the Heritage Greens Lawn Bowling Club and the Windsor Lawn Bowling Club set to welcome bowlers from across the country next August.
The 2027 Canadian Lawn Bowling Championships (Majors) have been awarded to the Heritage Greens Lawn Bowling Club, while the 2027 Canadian Youth and Junior Championships will be hosted by the Windsor Lawn Bowling Club.
2027 Canadian Lawn Bowling Championships – Heritage Greens Lawn Bowling Club
Heritage Greens Lawn Bowling Club will welcome Canada’s top provincial qualifiers for the 2027 Canadian Lawn Bowling Championships from August 15–22, 2027.
The Championships will feature competition in Men’s and Women’s Singles, Pairs, and Fours bringing together some of the country’s top bowlers as they compete for Canadian titles.
Heritage Greens last played a role in hosting the Canadian Championships in 2024, when the event was delivered across multiple clubs. After helping welcome competitors as a co-host that year, Heritage Greens will take on the full hosting responsibilities in 2027.
BCB is excited to return to Heritage Greens and looks forward to working alongside the club and its volunteers as they welcome the entire Canadian Championships to their greens.
2027 Canadian Youth and Junior Championships – Windsor Lawn Bowling Club
The next generation of Canadian bowlers will take centre stage at the Windsor Lawn Bowling Club from August 8–13, 2027, as the club welcomes the Canadian Youth and Junior Championships.
The Championships will feature Men’s and Women’s U18 and U25 competition, providing young athletes from across Canada with the opportunity to compete on the national stage, build valuable competition experience and connect with fellow bowlers from across the country.
Windsor Lawn Bowling Club is no stranger to welcoming major bowls competition. Most recently, the club welcomed athletes from Canada and abroad for the 2025 Atlantic International Challenge, the first multi-nation international bowls competition held in Canada in more than three decades and hosted the 2026 Canadian Senior Triples Championships.
BCB looks forward to returning to Windsor and once again working with the club and its dedicated volunteers.
Building Toward the 2027 Season
“Hosting a Canadian Championship is a significant undertaking, and these events simply would not be possible without clubs willing to open their greens and their communities to bowlers from across the country,” said Britany Gordon, Chief Executive Officer of Bowls Canada Boulingrin. “We are thrilled to be working with Heritage Greens and Windsor in 2027 and are grateful to both clubs for stepping forward to help us deliver memorable championship experiences for our athletes.”
Planning for both championships will begin in the coming months, with additional information regarding competition formats, schedules, qualification and registration to be released as the 2027 season approaches.
Host locations for BCB’s remaining 2027 Canadian Championships will be announced once confirmed.
