Give Lawn Bowls a Try on National Bowls Day!

Ottawa, Ontario | June 1, 2018

The buzz about Lawn Bowls is quickly spreading across Canada with the celebration of National Bowls Day on Saturday June 2nd. Lawn bowls has many appeals for Canadians of all ages and abilities.  It is easy to pick up and being extremely accessible, everyone can play! Often compared as a type of “curling on grass”, participants have a great time playing the sport and also love the social aspect of the sport. You can go to any club and expect to meet new friends of all ages.

National Bowls Day is a cross-Canada celebration where community clubs from coast to coast will be offering opportunities to watch, play, and learn about bowls. Everyone is welcome, so mark Saturday, June 2nd on your calendar and come out to try lawn bowls.  All you need are flat soled shoes and some comfortable clothes.
