North Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club to Host 2016 Junior/U25 National Championship

North Vancouver, British Columbia | November 25, 2015

Bowls Canada Boulingrin is excited to announce that the North Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club will be the host of the 2015 Junior/U25 Canadian National Championships from August 1st -8th, 2016.  The co-chairs for the event are Edwin Jackson and Anne Jackson.

After learning North Vancouver LBC was selected to host the event, the organizing committee were thrilled. North Vancouver hosted the 2004 Junior and Under 25 Championships as well as numerous provincial singles and triples championships.  In 2013, the club co-hosted the Canadian National Major Championships with West Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club.  Most recently, North Vancouver LBC hosted the Lawn Bowling section of the British Columbia 55+ Games, sponsored by the City and District of North Vancouver.

The club has run a successful bowls program with a number of members competing on the National and International stage.  There is a dedicated volunteer base at the club and they are looking forward to ensuring the championship runs smoothly and is enjoyed by all athletes, support staff and spectators.  The North Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club has two manicured greens and is one of the largest clubs in Canada.
