Opportunity for Senior Bowlers to Compete at the 2025 Atlantic Seniors Fours Competition in Cyprus

Bowls Cyprus, partnered with Constantinou Bros Hotels, have announced that they will be hosting the 2nd Atlantic Seniors Fours Competition. The World Bowls approved event will be held on the greens at the Constantinou Bros Hotels in Paphos, Cyprus.

The 2025 Atlantic Seniors Fours Competition will take place from December 1st, 2025 to December 12th, 2025, with greens available on November 30th as a practice day before the event starts. There will be a welcome reception on November 30th to kick off the tournament, and a Presentation Dinner on the last day to round out the 2nd Atlantic Senior Fours.

Disciplines included in this upcoming event are Men’s Fours, Women’s Fours, and Mixed Fours. The Men’s and Women’s Fours will run concurrently with sectional play in the first part of the tournament followed by knockout stages (quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals). Halfway through the tournament will be a rest day (December 9th), however it may also be used as an additional playing day should there be any inclement weather. The Mixed Fours events will start after the Men’s and Women’s finals and will follow the same format – sectional play to start followed by knockout stages until the final. See full conditions of play here.

As a member nation, Canada has been invited to participate in this great opportunity. As such, we have been allotted a maximum of 2 teams for each Men’s Fours, Women’s Fours and Mixed Fours. All players must be aged 55 years or older as of April 1st, 2025 to be eligible to compete in this competition.

Bowls Canada will manage registration into the event, as it is required to be completed by the invited member nation, however all expenses (including registration fees) and planning (travel, accommodation, etc.) are the responsibility of each participant.

You must submit an interest to participate via email to office@bowlscanada.com before the deadline (see below) and you must include the names and contact information (including email and phone number) for the full team of 4. BCB will not manage the teams or be responsible for pairing up individuals to complete a team.

The deadline to submit an interest to participate to BCB is March 3rd, 2025.

BCB will be notified by Bowls Cyprus a confirmation of entries by June 30th, 2025; in which BCB will provide any and all information given to the teams who expressed interest.
