Bowls Canada Announces Dates for 2022 Canadian Indoor Singles Championships

Bowls Canada Boulingrin (BCB) is pleased to announce that the 2022 Canadian Indoor Singles Championships will take place at the Pacific Indoor Bowls Club (PIBC) from October 24 -29, 2022.

The event will showcase up to 12 men and 12 women competing in sets-play of singles.  After a two-year hiatus from national championships, players across Canada will be eager to return to Canada’s largest indoor bowls-specific facility. “We look forward to hosting the event and wish to extend a warm welcome to players across the country to our facility,” said Serge Pannu, chair of the Host Organizing Committee.

The 2019 winners, Hirendra Bhartu and Bobbi-Jean Charlton, are representing Canada at the World Bowls Indoor Championships in Bristol, England from April 25-29. The winners of the 2022 Canadian Indoor Singles Championships will also have the opportunity to represent Canada on the international stage, at a future World Bowls Indoor Championship in Warilla, New South Wales, Australia.  Bhartu and Charlton holding trophies

As this is an indoor event unlike any of Bowls Canada’s other outdoor national championships, the safety procedures and COVID-19 protocols will be closely monitored leading up to this event. At a minimum, the requirements from the local public health office will be followed; should the safety of participants or club volunteers be in question, BCB may elect to impose greater COVID-19 specific requirements closer to the event.

As the official awards and recognition supplier for BCB, Nothers The Award Store will provide all medals and awards for the event.

Accommodations will be sourced by EventConnect, the exclusive accommodations provider for all Bowls Canada events.
