Bowls Canada Boulingrin Names Six-Person Squad for 2027 World Championship Qualifying Event

Bowls Canada Boulingrin (BCB) has announced the six athletes selected to represent Canada at the 2027 World Championship Americas Qualifying Tournament, taking place March 2–6 in Long Beach, California.

The qualifying event will see Canadian athletes compete against top bowlers from the United States, Argentina, and Brazil, with qualification on the line in Women’s Pairs and Men’s Fours. Victory in either discipline would earn Canada entry into the 2027 World Championships, completing a full Canadian contingent at the sport’s premier international event.

Canada has already secured automatic qualification in six of the eight disciplines that will be contested at the 2027 World Championships, having achieved top 12 finishes in each of those disciplines at the 2023 World Championship.

A successful showing in Long Beach would add Women’s Pairs and Men’s Fours, ensuring Canadian representation across all World Championship disciplines.

The Americas Qualifying Tournament is a key component of the World Bowls competitive pathway, bringing together the leading nations in the region to compete for limited championship berths.
