Canada Names Powerhouse Lineups for 2025 International Lawn Bowls Competitions

Bowls Canada Boulingrin (BCB) is thrilled to announce the athletes who will proudly represent Canada at two major international lawn bowls events this year: the prestigious Atlantic International Challenge (AIC) on home soil, and the inaugural World Cup in Hong Kong, China.

WORLD CUP: A NEW ERA ON THE GLOBAL STAGE

Canada’s elite will take the global stage at the first-ever World Cup from November 4–8, 2025 in Hong Kong, China. This Gold-sanctioned World Bowls Series event will feature 12 powerhouse nations battling it out in fast-paced Singles and Pairs action under a 30-second shot clock — ushering in a thrilling new era for the sport.

Canada’s World Cup Representatives:

  • Emma Boyd (Tsawwassen, BC)
  • John Bezear (Kitchener, ON)
  • Kelly McKerihen (Toronto, ON)

Armed with a mix of international medals, fierce competitive spirit, and proven performance under pressure, this team is ready to make their mark on the world stage.

ATLANTIC INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE: HOME TURF ADVANTAGE

Before heading to Hong Kong, Canada’s squad will take the greens in Windsor, Ontario at the Atlantic International Challenge (AIC) from September 18–25, 2025.

Hosted by Bowls Canada, the AIC will see Canada face off against top players from the United States, Scotland, and Ireland – bringing world-class competition back to Canadian soil.

Bowls Canada is proud to also be finalizing the selection of our Para athletes for both the Atlantic International Challenge and the World Cup. Their announcement will follow shortly, highlighting the incredible talent and determination that drive Team Canada forward across all levels of international play.
