Making Ethical Decisions (MED) Changes
Notice: Upcoming changes to NCCP Make Ethical Decisions
This notice only applies to you if:
- You completed the MED training but have not yet completed the online evaluation; or
- You have paid for the evaluation but have not yet completed it.
The National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Make Ethical Decisions (MED) module is transitioning to a new eLearning format in the Locker Learning Management System.
As of April 1, 2026, NCCP Make Ethical Decisions training and evaluation will be delivered as a single online module in the Locker.
If either of the above bullets apply to you, you must complete the current NCCP MED Online Evaluation by 11:59:59 PT on March 31, 2026.
If you do not complete the NCCP MED Online Evaluation by March 31, you will need to complete the new eLearning module, which includes the training and evaluation.
If you are unsure how this applies to you, please BCB Technical Manager, William Mulcahy at [email protected]
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: HOW THIS EFFECTS BOWLS NCCP CLUB COACH, COMPETITION COACH, AND PERFORMANCE COACH PATHWAYS
Club Coach Pathway
Club Coach courses will no longer include this module in the workshop. Coaches will no longer have access to the current multi-sport MED training or evaluation after this date.
Coaches who are already trained as a Club Coach will retain their “trained” status after March 31st.
Call to action: No action required to maintain your “Trained” status
After this date, any new coaches who take the Club Coach workshop will be required to take the new MED module and its evaluation.
Competition and Performance Coach Pathway
Competition and Performance Coaches who are “in-training” or “trained” and have completed the MED training but have not yet completed the online evaluation have two options:
1. Complete the current MED Evaluation prior to March 31, 2026.
2. Complete the new MED Module and Evaluation after March 31, 2026.
We encourage any affected coaches to complete their evaluation before the deadline to avoid having to redo the MED component.
Call to action:
IF “in-training” or “Trained” status AND have completed the current MED Module, go complete the Evaluation by March 31, 2026.
If “in-training” or “trained” status but have not started the current MED Module, wait until after March 31, 2026 to complete the new MED Module and Evaluation to continue your certification process.
