Official Announcement of Athletes Selected to attend the 2025 World Bowls Indoors Championship
BCB is thrilled to announce that Linda Ng and Mike McNorton have been selected to represent Canada at the 2025 World Bowls Indoors Championships.
The event will take place in Aberdeen, Scotland between April 20th – April 25th, 2025. Ng & McNorton will be competing as teammates in the mixed pairs events as well as in their respective singles disciplines.
Due to the hiatus of BCB’s 2024 Canadian Indoor Qualifier, Mike and Linda have been selected to compete at the upcoming World Bowls Indoor Championships based on their performance at the 2023 Canadian Indoor Championship which qualified them to compete at the 2024 World Indoor Championships.
The pair represented Canada earlier this year and showed their skill and talent on the international scene. Mike played well, but unfortunately did not make it out of the round robin games. Linda made her way to the semi-finals earning her a bronze medal in the women’s singles event. As a pair, the two bowlers played fiercely in their round robin games, awarding them a spot in the quarterfinals. The two continued to show great teamwork and confidence which resulted in a bronze medal finish in the mixed pairs discipline.
BCB will continue to share event details as they are available. We look forward to cheering on our Canadian bowlers as they strive for more podium finishes at the 2025 World Bowls Indoor Championships.
