Applications Being Accepted to Officiate at all 2026 Canadian Championships
The application window is now open for Umpires to apply to officiate at the various 2026 Canadian Championships. If one of the Championships is taking place close to you, no matter your level, you are strongly encouraged to apply. The Championships are your opportunity to work with our top Canadian Officials and for you to progress in serving the Bowls Community.
Interested officials can fill out the Officiating at 2026 Canadian Championships form to confirm their interest in being selected to officiate at a National Championship. The BCB Head Umpire, in consultation with the National Officiating Committee, will review applications and all applicants will be contacted. Preference will be given to local officials.
Umpires who are selected to officiate at National Championships will also see the following benefits:
- Level 1 Umpires paid an honorarium of $20/round. Level 2 Umpires paid an honorarium of $30/round Meal plans for the event paid for.
- Travel subsidization (for out-of-province Level 2 officials) or mileage (for out-of-town Level 2 officials).
- Accommodations provided for out-of-town Level 2 officials who are selected.
Any Umpire who is a member in good standing at a Canadian bowls Club is eligible to apply; Umpires must have completed one of the approved Safe Sport courses and be currently certified.
Deadline to apply: June 12th, 2026. The final selection of officials will be determined by the BCB Head Umpire in consultation with the National Officiating Committee by June 19th,2026.

Para-Bowls Championships (Brampton LBC, Brampton, ON): Aug. 4-9
Youth & Junior Championships (Hanover LBC, Hanover, ON): Aug. 10-14
Majors (North Vancouver LBC, North Vancouver, BC): Aug. 16-24
Seniors (Windsor LBC, Windsor, ON): Aug. 25-30
Indoors (TBC): October TBC
