National Squad Selection Process Open

The selection process for the national lawn bowls squad is now open.   

The High Performance Committee is responsible for ensuring that the selection criteria for the national High Performance Program is implemented as published.  Athletes who aspire to be in the High Performance Program must commit to the program requirements outlined in the Selection Criteria. 

The selection process is open to all Canadian bowlers that meet the eligibility criteria as outlined in the Selection Criteria.    

Bowlers wishing to be considered for a National Squad must complete the Expression of Interest form and submit the requested materials to Bowls Canada no later than August 12th, 2022.   

Athletes who so wish will have the opportunity to participate in a Regional Evaluation Camp at their own cost.  Dates and locations to be confirmed by August 15th, 2022.  Only athletes who submit an indication of interest will be notified of the available these opportunities.  Participation in a Regional Evaluation Camp is not mandatory for consideration of selection.

The High Performance Committee oversees Bowls Canada Boulingrin’s high performance program. The High Performance Committee’s aim is to give our athletes the tools necessary to excel at the sport, give them the opportunity to compete at the international level and help them become high performance athletes with the skills, knowledge and confidence to win medals internationally.
